Easy Money for Classroom Supplies

 

Using DonorsChoose.org I was able to get about $2,500 in supplies for my classroom without spending my own money or begging my friends for help.


I know teachers spend a lot of their own money on classroom supplies and materials but there’s a website called DonorsChoose.org that can help. There you create a project with the supplies you need.  After getting your project approved they create a post for you to share on social media soliciting donations.  Along with using social media they provide match offers. Match offers are how I often earn money for my project quickly.  The last few years Google has done a match offer that includes teaching the students about coding or being respectful.  When your students complete the offer then you receive a gift card to use towards your project.  Watch for match days and boost your project when those occur and post your project to social media again letting your friends, family, and followers know that their donation is matched during this window.  Finally, refer people to earn $25 each time they create a project.  Here is my referral link if you decide to sign up and create a project yourself.  Need help navigating the process? Blooket Game

  A week ago my students kept asking to play Blooket so I looked into it.  Blooket is much like Kahoot and Gimkit but they earn money.  Blooket has several different game modes and the students LOVE IT.  Once a student has been eliminated they will keep playing to earn more gold which they can use to buy rare items.  Each week Blooket has a theme and those rare items can be bought for the week and then they are gone; the items include accessories or special characters they can play as.  My students will play for hours if we let them.  When we finish a game they are ready for another round.  Blooket has a FREE version which has been enough for my class but you can also upgrade to a paid version.  They have games that are already made or you can create a new game.   My students love the battle royale mode and the gold quest the best.  If you haven't given it a try I would highly suggest it.
